History of North America

What are 3 major history events in the northeast?

The Boston Tea Party (1773): This was a protest against the British government's policies on tea taxation. A group of colonists disguised as Mohawk Indians boarded British ships in Boston Harbor and dumped the tea into the water. This event was a major catalyst for the American Revolution.

The Battle of Bunker Hill (1775): This was one of the first major battles of the American Revolution. The battle took place on Breed's Hill, which overlooks Boston Harbor. The British won the battle, but the Americans inflicted heavy casualties on them. This battle showed the British that the colonists were willing to fight for their independence.

The Hartford Convention (1814-1815): This was a secret meeting of New England Federalists who were opposed to the War of 1812. The delegates to the convention discussed seceding from the United States and forming a separate nation. However, the convention did not reach any concrete decisions, and the war ended before any action could be taken.
