History of North America

What were two disadvantages in the north during civil war?

1. Lack of manpower: The North had a smaller population than the South, and a significant portion of its population was engaged in industry and commerce rather than farming. This meant that the North had fewer men available to serve in the military.

2. Limited transportation: The North's transportation infrastructure was not as well-developed as the South's, which made it more difficult to move troops and supplies around the country.
