Escaped slaves found many ways to get to freedom after leaving their plantations they had many safe houses in which a lot were found in Philadelphia, New York, and Boston many enslaved people moved through secret networks that provided food ,shelter,transportation they found ways of blending in the north which also gave an easier advantage, Many African americans found ways of blending in by dressing as seaman in cities the would use fake passes,and sometimes changed accents.
