How much does a major in the army get paid?

According to the U.S. Department of Defense, the basic pay for a major in the army with less than two years of service is $5,675.50 per month, and the basic pay for a major with more than two years of service is $5,999.00 per month. In addition to basic pay, majors may also receive additional pay based on factors such as housing allowance, cost-of-living allowance, and hazardous duty pay.
