The Coventry Blitz was a series of heavy air raids conducted by the German Luftwaffe against the city of Coventry, England, during World War II. The raids took place on the nights of 14/15 November and 20/21 November 1940. The first raid, on the night of 14/15 November, was the heaviest air raid that had been carried out on a British city up to that point.

The raids caused widespread destruction to the city centre and surrounding areas, including the destruction of many factories. According to the official history of the raid, a total of 568 factories were damaged or destroyed in the raids, with 200 of these being completely destroyed. The most significant damage was caused to the city's motor industry, with many of the major car factories being either partially damaged or completely destroyed.
