What happened in the trial of Matthew weeks 1844?

Matthew Weeks was not tried in 1844- he served on trial as a jury member when Elizabeth Brownrigg was tried for manslaughter at the Old Bailey for the ill treatment that led to the death of one of the apprentices in her care, Mary Clifford aged 12 in September 1844 as reported in various papers at the time including The Weekly Dispatch - Sunday September 22 1844. She was found guilty of wilful murder and executed shortly after.
