Historical story

What happened to Joan of Arc in later life?

Joan of Arc was captured by the Burgundians in 1430, and was later handed over to the English. Though a trial was called for her, the English sought ways to undermine the legitimacy of her divine authority. At her trial, she proclaimed that she answered only to God, which resulted in her being convicted of heresy. On May 30, 1431, she was burned at the stake at the age of 19.
