* Jocasta: Creon also interacts with Jocasta, Oedipus's wife and mother, to try to convince her that the prophecy is not real. He argues that the gods are not always accurate in their predictions and that Oedipus should not be punished for something he has not yet done.
* Tiresias: Creon interacts with Tiresias, the blind prophet of Thebes, to try to get him to change his mind about the prophecy. He offers Tiresias money and other rewards if he will say that the prophecy is not true.
* Antigone: Creon interacts with Antigone, his niece and the daughter of Oedipus and Jocasta, when he discovers that she has buried her brother Polyneices, who was killed in battle against his other brother Eteocles. Creon has ordered that Polyneices be left unburied as punishment for his treason, and he sentences Antigone to death for defying him.
