Did Lewis and clark take revenge of the mandans?

There is no historical evidence to suggest that Lewis and Clark took revenge on the Mandans. In fact, the expedition's interactions with the Mandans were generally positive. The Mandans provided Lewis and Clark with vital supplies and shelter during the winter of 1804-1805, and the two groups exchanged gifts and knowledge. There were some tense moments, as the Mandans were initially wary of the expedition's intentions, but these were resolved peacefully.
