Backstory
Abigail "Abby" McGuire was born and raised in New York City. She joined the NYPD and eventually became a detective in the Organized Crime Control Bureau (OCCB). She was partnered with Elliot Stabler for several years, and the two developed a close relationship. However, their partnership ended when Stabler retired from the NYPD.
After leaving the NYPD, McGuire continued to work as a private investigator. She was hired by Stabler to help him investigate the murder of his wife, Kathy. The two worked together to track down the killer, and in the process, they rekindled their relationship.
Season 2
In the second season of Law & Order: Organized Crime, McGuire returns to the NYPD as a sergeant in the OCCB. She is reunited with Stabler, who has also returned to the NYPD. The two work together to investigate organized crime in New York City.
Throughout the season, McGuire and Stabler's relationship is tested by their jobs. They must often put their personal feelings aside in order to do their jobs, and this can sometimes be difficult. However, they always find a way to come together and support each other.
Personal Life
McGuire is a strong and independent woman. She is also a loving and supportive partner and mother. She has a son, Eli, from her previous marriage.
McGuire is still grieving the loss of her wife Kathy. However, she is also beginning to move on with her life and is open to the possibility of finding love again.
