What was the decision for Dred Scott case?

In a 7–2 decision delivered on March 6, 1857, Chief Justice Roger B. Taney wrote the majority opinion and ruled that because Scott was black, he was not and could never be a citizen and therefore had no standing to sue in federal court. Additionally, the Court ruled that the Missouri Compromise of 1820 which prohibited slavery north of the parallel 36°30′ was unconstitutional, as Congress lacked the power to regulate slavery in the territories. The dissenting opinions were written by Justices John McLean and Benjamin Robbins Curtis.
