Who was Paul Reveres father?

Paul Revere's father was Apollos Rivoire, a Huguenot silversmith who had immigrated to Boston from France. Apollos Rivoire changed his surname to Revere after arriving in America. He was a successful silversmith and a prominent member of the Boston community. He was also active in the French Protestant church in Boston and served as a deacon. Apollos Rivoire died in 1754 when Paul Revere was 13 years old.
