Vincenzo Bellini
The untimely death of the famous Italian composer Vincenzo Bellini, occurred on 23 September 1835, was attributed to an unspecified intestinal infection, but immediately rumors of her possible poisoning began to spread, more or less covertly.
But who could have wished for the death of the young musician?
And why?
Artistic or amorous jealousy?
In fact, at the time Bellini was at the peak of his career, praised by audiences and critics, the representation of each of his works resulted in a triumph, but could this have been the cause of a rancor so strong that he wanted his death?
The fact is that in the course of 1835, at just 33 years of age, the artist began to accuse a strange and indefinable intestinal discomfort which convinced him to take a break from his commitments and take a rest period in the hope of restoring good health.
He then moved to France, near Paris, to the home of his friend Samuele Lewis , where shortly thereafter, however, following a strong seizure attack , the man died.
At the time of his death, only the gardener was present, who was therefore also the only witness of the event, as the Lewis spouses had left.
People began to murmur, not too softly, that Bellini had been poisoned by his friend, jealous of the relationship that someone said had established between his wife and the young Sicilian talent.
