The dancer Isadora Duncan
The American Isadora Duncan (1877-1927) was the greatest and most famous dancer from the early 1900s.
Extraordinary talent, the unfortunate artist is also remembered for her absurd death.
It was a scarf. that killed her
Elegant and feminine, the dancer loved to wear scarves and veils both on stage and in everyday life, but she certainly could not imagine that this innocent fashion passion of hers would one day cause her premature death.
The unthinkable happened instead on the evening of 14 September 1927 in Nice (France), shortly after getting into her beautiful sports car:the long red scarf of her that Duncan, as usual, had wrapped with a double loop around her neck, got caught in the spokes of a wheel, strangling her.
