The storming of the Bastille , which took place on 14 July 1789 in Paris, it is considered the event that officially started the French Revolution.
When the rioters broke into the old fortress, long used as a prison, to free the prisoners, they found only 7 and only for a few days, about ten, they did not come across the eighth, among other illustrious and much talked about:the Marquis De Sade .
In fact, the man was serving a sentence imposed on him with the charge of "libertinage", but had been transferred to another facility earlier this month.
