Bust of Nefertiti
In the attached image you can admire one of the female busts most beautiful in ancient history.
The face depicted is the perfect one of the Egyptian queen Nefertiti, belonging to the XVIII dynasty (1370-1330 BC).
The sculpture is so well done and beautifully preserved that it has even raised some legitimate doubts about its authenticity.
Look carefully at the work and the face it depicts.
The skin of the face is smooth, compact and uniform, the large and elongated eyes are perfectly made up, the eyebrows are thick, dark and well defined, the nose is long and thin and the fleshy mouth, enhanced by the lipstick, hints at a smile mild and aristocratic.
What leaves you amazed is mainly the sense of noble and almost rarefied grace that her face emanates.
The figure, 47 centimeters high in all, is made of painted limestone with strong and vibrant colors, typical of the works of Ancient Egypt.
The bright blue were obtained from the copper and iron oxide respectively and the pink, from arsenic sulphide the yellow, from copper the bright green , from coal the black, from the chalk, finally, the candid white .
The exhibit is currently located at the Neues Museum of Berlin, despite Egypt having been asking for its return for some time.
