What was Aphrodites status in society?

Aphrodite was the Greek goddess of love, desire and beauty. She was the daughter of Zeus and Dione, and was married to Hephaestus, the god of fire and the forge. Aphrodite was known for her beauty and charm, and was said to be able to make anyone fall in love with her. She was also associated with fertility, and was often invoked by women who wanted to conceive children. Aphrodite was widely worshipped throughout Greece, and had many temples and statues dedicated to her. She was also often featured in Greek art and literature.
