1. Nelson Mandela:

Nelson Mandela was born into a royal family in South Africa and became involved in politics while studying law at the University of Fort Hare. He joined the African National Congress (ANC), a political organization fighting for the rights of black South Africans, and became a leader in the movement against apartheid. Mandela was arrested in 1962 and sentenced to life in prison, where he spent 27 years. During his imprisonment, he became a symbol of the anti-apartheid movement and a source of inspiration for people all over the world. After his release in 1990, Mandela continued to lead the ANC and negotiated with the apartheid government to end apartheid. In 1994, he became the first black president of South Africa.

2. Desmond Tutu:

Desmond Tutu was born into a Christian family in South Africa and became a priest and anti-apartheid activist. He was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in 1984 for his work in the movement. Tutu was a leading figure in the call for economic sanctions against South Africa and supported the use of violence as a last resort to end apartheid. He was also involved in the negotiations that led to the end of apartheid and became the first black Archbishop of Cape Town in 1986.

3. Winnie Madikizela-Mandela:

Winnie Madikizela-Mandela was born into a Xhosa family in South Africa and became a social worker and political activist. She was a prominent figure in the anti-apartheid movement and the wife of Nelson Mandela. Madikizela-Mandela was arrested several times and spent 18 months in solitary confinement. She was also accused of human rights abuses, but was never convicted. After the end of apartheid, she served as a member of parliament for the ANC and was appointed Minister of Arts and Culture in 1994.
