How can you tell when a dollar bill was printed?

You can tell when a dollar bill was printed by looking at the date on the bill. It is printed on the face of the bill below the phrase One Dollar. For example, a dollar bill with the date 2023A was printed in January of 2023. The letter next to the date indicates which of the year's four printing runs the bill is from: A stands for January through March, B for April through June, C for July through September, and D for October through December.
