What is a chapter house?

A chapter house is a building that serves as a meeting place and living quarters for members of a chapter, society, or organization. It is typically found in universities and churches. In universities, chapter houses are often used by fraternities and sororities, while in churches they may be used by religious orders. Chapter houses provide a communal living space for members of the organization, as well as a place for meetings, events, and social gatherings. They typically include bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchens, dining areas, and common rooms, and may also have additional facilities such as libraries, gyms, or recreation areas.
