What are the plot for Ta-na-e-ka?

Ta-na-e-ka (1925) is a silent Japanese drama film directed by Kinuyo Tanaka as her directorial debut. Based on Tanizaki Seiji's short stories "Otsuya-gata Okimi" and "Akai kimono".

Otsuya-gata Okimi: Otsuya, a beautiful geisha of high renown finds herself unable to accept the fact that an old man whom she doesn't love wants to wed her. To free herself of obligation with this marriage offer in a desperate act of protest she commits murder - killing not only herself, but the lover and his wife who attempted to help arrange marriage for her too.

Akai kimono: Oyae has just moved in after getting married, as an object of beauty rather than as a loving object - a beautiful adornment, she will remain a stranger to herself and to her husband. On a winter night that snow is falling, in response to the question: Are you truly in despair?, she throws herself into the well.
