archaeological essence

Wat Awat Yai is another large temple in the Aranyik area of Kamphaeng Phet. There are many large and small buildings. In front of the temple there is a large rectangular well dug into the laterite layer, the villagers called Bo Sam Saen. This temple has only a laterite glass wall. showing the boundaries of Buddhavas Important buildings in Phutthawat area The front end is made up of 2 bases in the shape of a rectangle that are broken into corners. On the bases there are 8 different types of pagoda bases, each with 8 bases.

Next was the temple, which stood on a large support. The base is made of laterite in a rectangular shape. There are 3 stairs leading up to the front and the center on both sides. Laterite walls were built as a balustrade as well as the base to support the Viharn of Wat Phra Si postures. The viharn on the base is recessed into a porch, both in front and behind is a 9-room viharn. Originally, a high wall was built and the wall was pierced into a balustrade or a hole known as the vent wall, which traces of the high wall still appear on the corner columns. After

Behind the viharn is a large main chedi built next to the base of the viharn. It is a chedi with an octagonal base. The lowest base is an octagonal base, next to it is a 5-sided indented lotus base, and then a 5-sided indented lotus-base for each corner as well. The base of this lotus floor is stretched in front of the wooden plank to form a high wall decorated with two rows of glass beads. As for the top of the pagoda next to it completely collapsed, so the exact original shape is unknown. The base of the main chedi of Wat Abbot Yai is similar to the main chedi of Wat Chedi Sung located outside Sukhothai in the east. Which is a round or bell-shaped chedi that extends the base very high, so it may be that the top of the main chedi of Wat Awat Yai is a round or bell-shaped chedi.

next to Phutthawat to the west From the north to the south are the bases of large and small buildings. which is assumed to be a group of monks and a pavilion of 3 places and 2 wells It must be a temple where the elder monks of Kamphaeng Phet Province reside in the Buddhist Lent. There are many building bases that are believed to be large or small monks in the Sangkhawat area (Department of Fine Arts 2009 :93 - 96).
