archaeological essence

Pattani City during the Ayutthaya period During the Ayutthaya period, it was a city surrounded by log walls called "Kota Raya", with a city gate which was as large as an elephant could walk through. The first gate was on the western city wall. Named "Pintu Kerbang" or known as "Victory Hang Tu Wah" and the second gate on the eastern city wall is called "Pintu Jayah" or known as “Elephant Gate”, the city gate that appears today is assumed to be part of the original west gate. At present, it is a deserted forest (Phanuwat Ueasamarn et al. 2018:240).
