The Museo Romano Oiasso (Irún) has opened the deadline to enroll in the new course «Prehistory and Archeology in the Iberian Peninsula», given by Mariajo Noain. The objective of the course is for students to learn how the first settlers of the Iberian Peninsula developed in an entertaining and dynamic way. To achieve this, they will use exclusive archaeological material from the museum and images, among other resources.
.The topics that will be developed are very varied and complete:
- History of Archeology in the Iberian Peninsula
- The Lower Paleolithic:the oldest hominids in Europe
- The Middle Paleolithic:the Neanderthals
- The Upper Paleolithic:the Sapiens
- The birth of art:cave art and mobile art
- A time of transition:climate change and the Epipaleolithic
- The Neolithic:the appearance of the first farmers and ranchers
- The Neolithic:the consolidation of the first settlements
- Post-Paleolithic art:Levantine art and schematic art
- The megalithic phenomenon:dolmens, menhirs and cromlechs
In principle, the course will give a wide and detailed step through prehistory but its intention is to continue chronologically with a second part in February 2016 that will expand its contents including the Roman era .
The classes will begin on October 6 and end on December 15, 2015, with a Tuesday schedule from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., a total of 11 hours that They will allow archeology and prehistory to be brought closer to any type of public interested in the subject.
