The French and German losses were one in six. One in 8 for the British.
The losses (dead, wounded, missing, prisoners) for France were 76% of those mobilized , ditto Russia , Italy 38%, Serbia 80%; Germany 56%, the Austro-Hungarian Empire 77%; the US accounted for 8% with 114,000 deaths.
12% of the losses were less than 20 years old (4.5 million) and 60% of the losses were between 20 and 30 years old.
