Ancient history

My favorite articles from the last twelve months.

Happy New Year to all of you who accompany me on my path through history. As you may have seen, it took a few days without posting new articles on my blog. The main cause is the need for a little respite in search of new ideas, to continue telling stories and showing new places. Note that these are already emerging and in the next few days I will return to the usual rhythm of publications.

I would like to highlight an aspect that can sometimes be overlooked by readers. Small bloggers, like the one who subscribes, are in no case professionals in this world, the vast majority of us do it for simple entertainment. In my case I take advantage of two of my passions; history and the desire to learn to write, to be with all of you.

Hence, the need often arises to look back, and check if the objectives set personally are being met. Making the selection that I will show you below is the one that has confirmed for me that all those objectives have been far exceeded. If at first the only thing that seemed to count was the number of visits, the passage of time shows you that only if you enjoy writing can you reach readers. It is from that moment on that you value a comment more, be it positive or negative with respect, than the figures that the visit counter can provide you.

In the end I thought that, instead of remembering the most viewed articles, it was more exciting for me to show my favorites. Those that I enjoyed the most while documenting, writing and laying out for all of you. Some may match the most read, but others may not. This is my personal selection, I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.
