THE SUICIDE OF THE GOEBBELS FAMILY

After Hitler's suicide, life changed in the bunker, each of its inhabitants tried to save themselves. The next day, May 1, a shocking event occurred:Goebbels (one of the Nazi leaders who played the greatest role in the history of Nazism and Hitler's right-hand man) and his wife Magda (a fanatical follower of Hitler) committed suicide after removing life to their six children. SS guards deposited the bodies in a shell crater and incinerated them with gasoline.

The Russians discovered the bodies of the six children and the remains of the Goebbels couple and took them away. They were buried at the KGB headquarters in Magdeburg in 1946. Later, in the 1970s, KGB Chairman Yuri Andropov ordered a full cremation of the remains. His ashes were thrown into the Elbe River, other remains were thrown into a sewer...
