The most "dirty" organ in history

I guess it's easy to relate the terms "organ" and "dirty", and associate it with sexual organ. Well no, nothing is further from reality.

Louis XI of France , the Prudent (1423 – 1483). He was an authoritarian king who was characterized by the love-hate relationship with his father, Carlos VII, who still rebelled against him who, instantly, submitted. This dilemma not only kept her with his father, too, and this is the reason for the post, with the animals .

The same mounted a hunt or, rather, a butcher shop that kept a zoo with all kinds of animals or was accompanied by a lioness. His eccentricities reached the extreme of dressing pigs (pigs, pigs... whatever you want to call them) in women's clothes and prodding them to "sing" like a group of choristers. Tired of having to prick the pigs, he ordered the abbot of Baigne to build a musical instrument to enjoy the " bel canto porcino «. The abbot, an ingenious man as they come, got down to work and built the pig organ.

Pig Organ

Said “instrument” was a kind of box full of pigs of different sizes and ages – thus they emitted different “squeaks or growls” – that when pressing the keys a needle pricked them and they emitted what Louis XI considered music. I wonder if the Wise King was not hearing impaired .
