Historical story

From "The Tudors":Jane Seymour (with Video)

Annabelle Wallis is Jane Seimour in the drama “The Tudors”

Jane Seymour (1508-1537) was the third wife of Henry VIII.

The fickle king of England married her only 11 days after the execution of the death sentence of Anna Bolena, decided by himself.

In the television drama The Tudors , the woman is represented quite faithfully to what we can learn about her from the sources of the time, which draw a rather flattering portrait of her, that of a docile and virtuous person, perfect incarnation of the late medieval wife, light years away from the squabbles of the palace which were then on the agenda.

The video which you find below, from youtube.com, is a collage of images by Jane Seymour from the serial, from the arrival at court to the untimely death of the unfortunate queen, who died perhaps following a septicemia just two weeks after giving birth to the longed-for (legitimate) male heir, Edward VI, also destined for a very short life.

The actress is Annabelle Wallis.

Enjoy.
