Catherine-Dominique Pérignon (1754 - 1818)

Deputy in 1791, Pérignon resumed his military career to prevent the invasion of the allies, he won great victories in the Pyrenees (Montagne-Noire in 1794) and he replaced Dugommier. Elected to the Council of Five Hundred, he was showered with honors by Napoleon, who made him a senator, marshal and count of the Empire.
