Eudes II of Blois (? - 1037)

He is the son of Count Eudes I and Berthe de Bourgogne (future wife of Robert II). He is one of the most stirring characters of his time. He is at war with the Duke of Normandy Richard II. Beaten, he was saved by the intervention of King Robert II. He engages against the count of Anjou and occupies the county of Troyes before attacking the archbishop of Reims. In 1032, he abandoned his claims against Emperor Conrad II and King Henry I of France. A final attempt in Lorraine leads to his defeat. He died in battle in 1037.
