Study sessions «Encounters with female images in Iberia» at MAN

The Merida Archeology Institute (CSIC) and National Archaeological Museum Tomorrow, November 24, the study sessions Encounters with female images in Iberia are organized , whose intention is to offer some brushstrokes about how the dialogue between the Greek world and the Iberian world is found. Let us remember the magnificent images, among them the feminine ones, that the Iberians bought, looked at and integrated into their tombs, houses and sanctuaries. Images, signs of status that would be assimilated or not to the Iberian iconographic language. On this occasion we will deal with the various issues that these contacts give rise to in the current investigation.

We remind you of our Archeology and History issue No. 1, The Iberian culture, where you can find an article «Women and children first…! Family portraits, women and children in the Ibérico Pleno» , by Isabel Izquierdo Peraile.

Then we leave you the program.
